Ramanaruban Rangan

I am currently serving as an Assistant Lecturer in the School of Computing at SLIIT City University. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Jaffna and am presently pursuing an MSc in Big Data Analytics at the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), affiliated with Robert Gordon University, Scotland.
My teaching responsibilities include core modules such as Mathematics for Computing and Data Structures and Algorithms. I also conduct lab sessions for Data Systems, Web Application Development, and Computer Security. My academic and research interests include data science, cybersecurity, and AI-based systems. I am currently engaged in research related to big data-driven threat intelligence for IoT networks.
As a co-investigator, I contributed to a World Bank-funded Agriculture Products Management System, which led to the development and licensing of Inthiramart , a mobile and web-based e-commerce solution published on the Google Play Store. I have also participated in national research forums and actively support innovation and practical learning among students.
I am passionate about leveraging academic research and technology to build impactful, real-world solutions in the computing domain.
