BSc (Hons) Business Management with Business Analytics

The course is designed with practice-based pedagogy showcasing how leadership, planning, policy-making, technology and responsible innovation underpins the management of a modern business. Provides personal transformational learning experience for students with diverse backgrounds.

The course offers a holistic approach to developing knowledge and understanding required to managing a business; exploring how various functions within business are integrated through technology, stakeholders and sustainable practices; evaluating the impact on society at large.

The course will help you develop an appreciation for the dynamic change that is inherent within the business world and prepare for the continuing evolution of working life and associated roles, structures and ways of working; The course will require you to demonstrate an ability to integrate business theory in application and be efficient and effective in a variety of organizational, cultural, and social contexts.

Embedded within the course design is an opportunity for you to develop research skills, employability skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, professional and responsible behaviors, and be transformed into knowledgeable and effective managers in any working environment.

In studying for the degree, you are expected to demonstrate relevant knowledge and understanding of organizations and their internal management structures and external context in which they operate as well as the constraints that they face in contemporary society. The degree is a challenging learning experience and provides a broad understanding of organizations and managerial frameworks while providing opportunities to reflect on your knowledge, learning and practice.

On completing the course, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to integrate theory and practice leading to a positive impact through ethical and sustainable management practice.

    Course Learning Outcomes

    1. Demonstrate an understanding of modern management practices in a technology dependent and data driven business environment (EDI, Sustainability, Ethics).
    2. Analyze business complexity through the application of theories and frameworks in the management of business functions including Marketing, Finance, Operations, HRM, Strategy Design and Decision Making, Information Systems and Technology, and Governance.
    3. Critically investigate complex and varied situations situation collecting and evaluating information, and sourcing and analyzing data in order and learn demonstrate understanding of a range of business problems and propose effective solutions and make recommendations.
    4. Apply a range of problem-solving methodologies including both qualitative and quantitative techniques using relevant decision-making models and business analytics; As all as communicate evidence-based outcomes to a wider range of audience
    5. Display skills relevant in managing organizations effectively including stakeholder management, decision-making, leadership, communications skills, numeracy, team working
    6. Select, propose and implement a research project through utilization of appropriate and innovative methodology (such as gathering information, analysing information and making informed decisions) and the ability to use these research skills to solve problems in a business context
    7. Develop a critical understanding of analytical technologies and advanced computational methodologies for decision making

    Entry requirements

    Higher Diploma Entry Requirements

    Minimum of one pass in three main subjects at the G.C.E (A/L) Local or London Examination obtained in one at the same sitting in any stream.

    TOP-UP Entry Requirements
